Writer's Block: A Conspiracy of Beards

Thanks to bare patches of skin around my lower jawline, I can't grow a decent full beard. My whiskers are dense and tough, though, so shaving is a chore for me. I only shave when I can't stand to look at myself in a mirror...or need to for a public appearance or somesuch.

All three local TV stations have as their lead for the evening news programs...
...Phil Fulmer's resignation from the post of head coach of the University of Tennessee's football team.
(Those of you who know the TV show Red Dwarf, I'm calling on you to help me out.)

Again, I'm trying to make my family completely avoid the election coverage. All three of us have already voted, and in spite of the hype, the outcome seems to be a foregone conclusion...which will probably won't be confirmed till well into Wednesday or even later.
Anyway, the avoidance. This week, I bought a few DVDs...among them Standing In The Shadows of Motown (Mum's birthday prezzy) and Indiana Jones & The Crystal Skull (Dad's prezzy). The hope is Motown for the matinee and Indy for the main event. And I've got a dozen more DVDs of one kind or another I haven't seen yet either.
