The True Fan

OOC is blasphemy, canon is everything.

Once you fall in love with a movie, book or TV series, you are loyal like an old dog. You take fanfiction quite serious and use it as a substitute after the canon ran out.

You are probably a walking dictionary of your favourite fandom and you are picky about what you write and read. The closer to the "real thing" fanfiction is, the more you like it.

You rather explore a character in all depth, see new sides and learn more about them than creating new characters or mix up the situations they are in.

The ones I write myself, of course. I know that's not exactly what you had in mind. Well...

My favorite? The ones in whatever story I happen to be working on.
Which one bugs me? There's this fellow named Stephen Bierce, but also known as "frustratedpilot", who's tough to figure out. He's really really hard to sympathize with, y'know? ... What do you mean, "Stephen Bierce" is a "real person"? Haven't you read Number of the Beast by Robert Heinlein?!--All the universes are fictions, including the one Stephen inhabits.

Now I'm wondering if I want to make my exploration a play-by-LJ-Community game. My own experience of character rape over a Yahoo!-community game gives me pause about the idea.
