CRIMINAL MINDS

I don't know if any of my readers are as big of fans of the series as I am, but just in case you are and you haven't seen the first episode yet...

Okay. Early on when the Senator in the committee said that two Agents were killed, and with the actress who plays Agent Ashley Seaver absent in the titles, I had the notion in my head that her character had been killed off in the process of getting Agent Prentiss back! Granted, I'm probably in the minority about Agent Seaver. Most other CM fans don't seem to like her much. I think the character has a lot of dramatic potential tho', and I hope she can return sometime.

The season premiere left out too much plot, as in, how did the villains get the information about their target (just one example)? It felt too rushed, and while we had a lot of exposition in the committee scenes, they didn't explain enough. The fanfic crowd should have plenty to work with, however.

I wonder how many CM fanficcers are going to have a cow about the quicker, more direct, more seductive, nastier Dr. Reid. And suddenly (thanks to those guilt trip walks to the firing range) he's a much better shot with his service pistol than he ever was. No more boy toy, teddy bear Reid. They're gonna miss him!

Confession to make: I never gave Suspect Behavior a fair chance. The problem is that two hours of CM one after the other is too much. If it had been on another night, I might have been more receptive. I hope it's available on DVD or somesuch because I'm sorry I missed it now.

PERSON OF INTEREST

ALIAS meets Early Edition, with a good measure of Burn Notice thrown in (John Reese is basically a clone of Michael of Burn Notice--a former spy gone rogue). It's going to have to work to get an audience but I think it deserves one. The premiere episode had plenty of topspin. And since it's set in that Big Apple, I imagine a crossover with Bluebloods or CSI: New York might happen one of these seasons.
