My Dad got a second-hand TV aerial antenna and he put it up overday, just setting it under the existing one, so now in theory we have more than double the receptivity. Net result: we get the FOX and WB stations a little better. That's it.

THE YEAR IN REVIEW MEME

(Post the first line of your first message for each month this year...)

Yes, I finally give in to the prevailing currents of the web and start up this journal.
You want to know what's worse than being out of a job?
I'm nearly over this virus but it's still giving me the occasional crud.
When I was at the end of Fifth Grade, my teacher gave me an almanac of date-related trivia and for some years I was very interested in dates and their meanings.
Something has to be done about this stupid "fickle finger of fate" business.
Thanks to one of [profile] kevissimo's friends, I learned about http://www.astrodreamadvisor.com/free_mayan_readings.html and http://www.starroot.com/cgi/daycalc.pl and looked up my Mayan Astrological Sign and Horoscope.
Last night I had a strange dream...somebody had invented a new diet drink and with it a new disposable drink bottle made of latex.
Recently (a couple months back), I bought two CDs from Madacy's "Rock On" series and I decided to look at the others in the series to see if I wanted any of them.
My father introduced me to carbon paper about thirty years ago.
I want one of those Oreck air cleaner units.
Tonight I watched the PBS program Great Performances with the reunion concerts of Cream.

Ever hear a litany of the symptoms of a disease and think "that's me!"? The other day, the people on NPR's "All Things Considered" talked about the finding about Beethoven's death being lead poisoning and I could only think of myself. I seem to suffer from things that sound like either lead or mercury poisoning, but I don't know if I should try to get diagnosed. I know that sounds like a no-brainer idea, but I am out of work, have little money and fear that getting treated for anything might prove worse than suffering in silence. Not that there's anything worthwhile in suffering.
