Was an article about methamphetamine abuse on the TV news tonight. Mainly it was about how in Montana, a public service ad campaign is succeeding in curbing demand for the drug.
The news TO ME was the mention that amphetamines burn out the pleasure centers of the brain.
Remember, as a child I was prescribed amphetamines to treat my behavioral problems. Nowadays, the doctors prescribe Ritalin instead, which works about the same way.
Have I damaged my own pleasure centers to the point that my perpetual demoralization is all that I have left? I suppose I'll find out somehow with the battery of tests I'm going through now.
