Your Expression Number is 9

An idealist and humanitarian, you strive to make the world a better place.
You do your best when you follow your feelings and sense of compassion.
Deep down, you dream of being loved by many.

You are capable of much human understanding and have a lot to give to others.
While you are very ambitious, you never lose site of perspective.
You have an abundance of creative talents... you just need to tap into them.

Although you are a giving person, you can become selfish if you are ignored.
If you are not able to help people, you tend to shelf your talents.
Without others, you become aloof and start to lack sensitivity.

And Happy Birthday U.S. Marine Corps. I never served, but my Dad served in Korea in the residual force after the war, then in Washington (where he was in the security detail for--and in earshot of--JFK's Inaugural Address). Not all the glory happens on a battlefield.

...I'm very glad I'm not doing Nanowrimo.

Overnight I had a weird dream I was a character in a Harry Potter side story, set at the same time as Chamber of Secrets. I was a stereotypically brash American exchange student, making the other Gryffyndor (probably spelled wrong, not going to look it up to check, as I don't have the books, can't play DVDs on this compy, and don't want to disturb Dad's nap) students wonder why I wasn't sorted to Ravenclaw. I treated my wand like a cowboy's Colt .45 pistol and generally played up my not-Britishness. My schtick: possessing animals and using them to spy on the other students and faculty.

Perhaps it's an okay idea, but except for the movies, I'm not a Potter fan as such. I don't feel an urge to actually write it, as I know I'm competing with millions of fanfic'ers who can do it better.

But like that incident with the bowl of geraniums in Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy, if I could figure out WHY I had that dream, I could probably understand a lot more about who I am.
