Hey.
Last night, I went to McGhee Tyson Airport to pick up my mother and take her back home. I arrived at the Passenger Terminal about thirty minutes early.
And had to stay at the Airport for the better part of eight hours till her flight finally got in. The flight from Dallas to Knoxville was first delayed by weather, then ran into turbulence so rough the plane took some damage and had to put in to Little Rock for repairs. And then getting from Little Rock was slower because of the storms between there and Knoxville.
She had it rougher than I did, or course. But when I was looking at the video toteboard for Arrivals and her flight had been REMOVED (and they never put it back on after it was straightened out!) I'm sure you could imagine what could have been running through my head.
In this family, we call the combination of Aviation and Murphy's Law "Factor Z". I think we've had enough of Factor Z to last us a lifetime.
