Unexpected Revelations

Hey.
I'm going to keep this short this time because suddenly I've become quite busy. You see, my father signed up for Columbia House's DVD Club and got his first delivery today--seven titles, including Saving Private Ryan, Gladiator, and the first two movies of both the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings sagas.
But as of now I'm not busy watching movies.
I'm busy looking over the club's website for the DVDs I want to build our collection (and I AM paying him for the movies I want!). And so, the wishlist includes family fantasy like The Wizard of Oz, The Princess Bride, The Adventures of the Baron Munchausen, and The Thief of Bagdad (the Fairbanks version)...and hardcore action like Ronin, Black Rain, and Blade Runner...and musicals like My Fair Lady, An American in Paris and West Side Story...and comedies like City Slickers and the Marx Brothers Box Set Number 1.
And what kind of Frustrated Pilot would I be if my collection didn't include flyboy classics like Hell's Angels, Catch-22, The Bridges At Toko-Ri, The Battle of Britain and The Right Stuff?
So far my list is way bigger than my budget and growing by the hour. But the plan is to buy in stages and as I said, I'll pay for what I get. I'll probably pare down the list too...but I have to admit that this is saving me a load of running around for titles that are otherwise hard to find.
That said, I was surprised of another revelation that came along with the DVD catalog bundled with the disks...
My clean cut, all-American, nice guy father...likes The Blues Brothers and National Lampoon's Animal House. We'll probably get the latter movie but Columbia doesn't have the former. Ride 'em in Rawhide!
