Today I went with my father to his optometrist (so I could drive him back). The place had the absolute worst Muzak I have ever heard. They were an equal opportunity massacre. Mozart and Motown; folk songs and the Beatles; there was even a TV theme song in there somewhere--and it all SUCKED!

When he was in with the doctor I took a twenty-minute walk outside. It helped very little.

I know doctors' offices aren't supposed to be entertainment, but sheesh! Silence is underrated in so many ways.
