I just did a completely vain search for videos from the band Madhouse. This band had been assembled from studio and tour performance backup musicians by Prince in the late 1980s. They recorded two popular fusion funk-jazz albums and made at least two very cool film noir-based music videos.
At first I thought the reason I was coming up dry on my searches was because of other bands having songs with "Madhouse" in the title. Nope. "The Artist Formerly Known..." is suing YouTube for copyright violation of his artistic properties, and so there is probably a watchlist at YouTube for anything Prince-ly.
Meanwhile, I'm stewing in my own juices, wanting to see the videos, which I haven't since they were hits about 20 years ago. :( Anybody know where they are? Have they been collected to DVD? Enquiring minds...
