...If you're a nerd, and you want something, chances are another nerd has it.
Case in point? Tonight was my IPMS/Knoxville meet, and so I was in discussion with an elder fellow of the club, who is in the process of liquidating much of his old model stash over eBay. He says he's finally gotten an actual inventory together. Eventually, our conversations went to the subject of this entry, and I repeated the sentiment "If AccMin reissues the P-36 Mohawk and the F8F Bearcat, I'll be all over them."
He said, "I've got an extra Mohawk and might have an extra Bearcat. I'll let you know if I've got both of them and we can haggle a price."
A bird in the hand is worth what cash is in my pocket. Thereabouts.
