Amateur Hour, Part 1
Apr. 7th, 2008 12:13 amLong before I ever got on the Internet, one shining moment of glory for me was to become a radio deejay for an hour. It was a promotion for a station in Tampa that was my favorite station back then. Their playlist was a good mix of alternative and AOR and soft-rock. I still kind of miss it. Anyway, they had a weekly drawing for Amateur Hour and after two entries over the course of a year or two, I won my chance in the spotlight. I chose fifteen songs to play, of which I actually played thirteen.
Rather than try to upload my tape souvenir somehow, I'm going to experiment and embed YouTube videos of the songs I played that night. And when possible, alternative versions.
( First Song )
( Second Song )
( Third Song )
( Fourth Song )
More tomorrow...
And if you're reading this--Happy Birthday
honeychan! :)
