She Is NOT Amused

You know the old saw about the car...wash it and it rains? Well, for this house, it's the "new" fence in the northwest "nook" around the birdbath. It's vinyl picket pieces scavenged from another nearby place's demolition, and it has no real function whatsoever, as it doesn't actually enclose the space, just somewhat partitioning it.

And every time Dad sets it perfectly erect, a wild windy storm comes along to knock it back down. Usually the same day.

I think Miss Ruby is behind it. If you're late to the story, Ruby Allen Rather was the previous owner of the house, and died in it. She's buried within sight of the house, near the church on the next hill over. So her ghost comes along every so often. Both Dad and I have seen her at times in the past.

So it's my opinion that she hates the fence and wants to see it gone. She summons a banshee or two and they come and whack the fence upside its finials.

Don't mess with the dead. As if to underscore my point...Check this out.

FreeWill Astrology For Sagittarius

Virtual Ouija Board...Possibility?

Hey.

Overnight I had the idea for a Flash-based virtual Ouija board. The user would type in a question, click the heart-shaped pointer thing and it would whirl about the board picking letters, the letters being spelled out below the board.

Anybody know enough Flash? Enough to guess about whether it's possible?
