I Could Take or Leave This Holiday

The public radio station, most of the day, played Sousa marches and songs from past wars. Now, on NPR, we hear the Prez speak (at Arlington National Cemetary) about how proud he is of the men and women he sent to die in his war in the Middle East.

At least they aren't playing movies based on old uncle Ambrose's war stories on TV.

PS: I should also mention that I think General Motors' current "A Million Thanks" TV adverts are very crass. "Support our troops who are fighting a war for oil--and buy a gas-guzzling new car from us!"
