My computer is in the shop now. Took it in this afternoon and showed off its lack of functionality to the man who sold it to me eleven months ago. Will be informed tomorrow on the diagnosis.
Then took Dad to visit the neighbor who had a stroke the same day I left for GenCon. The neighbor seems to be doing better than I'd expect he'd do, but it still looks awful to be going through it.
Trying to reconnect with the usual haunts of cyberspace, but with the handicap that Mom's computer doesn't have my bookmarks. I know I'm missing a lot. I know I'm falling behind. And I know I can't use all those great contacts and lessons from GenCon till I get my own machine back.
