frustratedpilotMet with the caseworker for Tennessee Department of Human Services just over an hour ago. The whole thing was less than five minutes. You can only stretch out "doesn't look like you qualify for Tenncare or Medicaid" so much. More my age being the issue rather than my level of living standards. I would have had no trouble if I had been elderly or a minor.
It was kind of disconcerting her asking me "You sure you don't need to apply for Food Stamps?"
So they'll send me a formal letter telling me no which I can then take to the psychiatric clinic and from there we can work on a plan for who pays what and how much. This will probably be sometime next week or the week after.
