Writer's Block: Next stop: Hollywood

Not a whole book, but just a short story: Robert Heinlein's The Menace From Earth, about two young Lunar colonists in love and the celeb tourist "Groundhog" who comes between them. Granted, there probably isn't enough material for 120 minutes of film; if it were my adaptation, I'd probably fold it together with a subplot based on one or the other of RAH's Future History stories. "Black Pits of Luna", "Space Jockey", and "Nothing Ever Happens On The Moon" seem like good candidates.
As for actors...the leads are teenagers so we'd need young actors, likely unknowns or previous child actors. Ariel (the "Menace") should be a star with a combination of glamour, appeal and notoriety; Britney Spears immediately comes to mind.
