Out Standing In His Field
Mar. 21st, 2011 01:26 pmAfter reading
the_gneech's lament about writer's block, I had to respond.
I'm not immune to that malady myself--Chillin' Out still needs an ending after ten years! But thanks to the Syd Field method, finding a plot isn't hard.

This is a Field Paradigm chart, intended for screenplay plotting, but just as useful for plotlines of any length. Print it out in Landscape and fill it out, and it can be your guide through your writer's block.
Tonight or tomorrow I'll fill one out and show you how to do it.
PS: I claim FAIR USE on the chart.
