New Sensors Can Detect Land Mines From The Air.

Which is good for all those old battlefields all over the world that need to be cleared...

But a bad idea for the Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea. If the North equipped some planes with sensors like these and then used the information to put maps on GPS units they can issue to their soldiers, then there's very little to stop them from concluding the Korean War--with their side winning.

Horoscopes from www.thenewastrology.com for the Month of May, 2009...

Sagittarius:
Events will crowd your calendar this month and a new enterprise might take root. Family functions will demand your attendance as well as baptisms, weddings, bar mitzvahs, birthdays and/or school graduations. Come out of hiding, Sagittarius. It's time, once again, to turn on the charm. As you have learned to enjoy some time alone, you may feel reluctant to socialize this month. But you will not be allowed retreat. Your presence is desired and your company cherished by all your friends and certain adorable parts of your family. May will inject your love life with a shot of excitement. Your significant other may express a desire to have a child. Not necessarily to marry. But to have a baby. It could be the influence of the countless celebrations. Or one of you may hear a biological clock ticking. Whichever it is, this is definitely not the time for you to be starting babies. You have enough trouble taking care of yourself this year without imagining that you can manage the arrival of a new responsibility. Sort out your own care and feeding. If you're in therapy or still attempting to sort out last month's blues, the answers will come to light soon. Meanwhile, this is a fine time to avoid babies and seek a second job or look for some part time activity you can do from home to bring in a little extra cash. Things are still murky in the money department. Yet the bills keep pouring in and must be paid. Perhaps you can turn your hobby into something lucrative. Expose your paintings or crafts and sell them at street fairs. Get a group together to jam and then find yourselves some gigs at local restaurants and night spots. Be a lot cleverer and you won't feel quite so poor.

Year of the Horse:
Family issues crop up in May for Horses. You have known for some time that trouble was brewing in the domestics of a brother, sister or close relative. One of the people in the couple in question will come to you for sympathy. Their complaints about their better half could be legitimate. You may even feel very sorry for them. However, unless you are a lawyer, and they want to hire you as their mouthpiece, keep your counsel. Obviously, you like the couple each in her or his own way and can probably see both sides of the various problems they have. But what you don't know is that as soon as Portia has walked out the front door, Jeff will come walking in the back to air his grievances. Couples have a way of using friends and family members as sounding boards. That evening, they will have another of their monumental rows, and if you have commented, she will say so, and he will come back with what you told him about her. Be careful. Taking sides is a good way to lose two good friends in the same divorce. Business for you should be thriving now. Your colleagues may not have not been very cooperative in the past few weeks, so you may be feeling a tad uneasy about the focus of your current projects. Why not invite a few key people to a simple bistro dinner, order a bottle of good wine and talk the whole matter through? Often what looks like lack of team work is due to a breakdown in communications.

A lot to digest. Hmm.
