The other night we had our household version of Chow Mein, and Mom refered to it as "Chop Suey", and Dad and I voiced our opinion that it was our understanding that Chow Mein and Chop Suey were in fact two different things. It turns out they are.
Thanks to Wikipedia, I have learned that what we eat in this house is neither proper Chow Mein NOR proper Chop Suey. It involves La Choy Chow Mein in the cans, but what we do with it isn't one or the other. Because of that piece of modern technology called the Microwave Oven.
I need to (pun sort of intended) hash this issue out with the cooks.
