Lesson For the Day

The song "Asu E Touchdown" from the Bubble Gum Crisis is definitely based on the Asia song "Don't Cry". I didn't make the connection as I hadn't heard the Asia song since it was a hit (till this evening), and therefore it was about ten years since then that I was exposed to Bubble Gum Crisis.

They are not the same song, but the "fanfare" used in both songs is nearly the same.

I bet somebody did a remix combining the two, and it's out there and I don't know about it. I don't consider the BGC song a "rip-off"...only the yang of the yin.
