The Inner Demons
Jul. 12th, 2006 12:01 amJust saw the PBS P.O.V. program about the life of Herge', the cartoonist and creator of the long-running Tintin comics. The program told that one of the best and most popular stories in the series was straight out of Herge's own nightmares; his psychiatrist told him he needed to drive out his inner demons, and what better way than to write down or draw them?
I think for me, my worst demon is time. The time that I need to think and sleep and heal and recharge. The rest of the world has overrun me and there's no way now for me to catch up, unless there is some sort of crash that affects everybody.
But how does somebody write time? What does time look like to you? What does it feel like? What does it sound like?
Is it even worth examining?
