Closet Cleaning

As said earlier, I bought a model aircraft carrier to donate to the quasi-IPMS chapter of troops in Iraq this past week. Over the weekend, I looked through the majority of unbuilt model kits to see what else I could donate--if not for the troops, for the raffle table at our model show. What I found:
Italeri's FW-190D-9 (1/72nd scale). Bought it at a model club flea market. Wanted to change the weapons on it, but never found the spare parts. I tend to build Axis aircraft in alternate paint schemes anyway...my Stuka is in Italian Co-Belligerant colors; one Me-109 is in Czech postwar markings; I'll probably have a Zero-Sen in Chinese Communist AF markings, whatever. But this guy has always been low on my priorities list--if I want another FW, I know I can get one.
Minicraft Lockheed Ventura gunship (1/72nd scale). Bought this one to round out a buy from a Hobby Lobby half-off sale. Wanted to build it as a Howard 500 (which was a civil post-war conversion) but that would have required new engines and a totally new fuselage. Maybe I'll just lobby (no pun) Minicraft to create a Howard version on their own.
AMT '93 Chevy Camaro (1/25th scale). With two Chevy Camaro sales brochures, from different years in this body type's run. Bought from a Big Lots. I intended to chop this apart to make a transformer robot model...but thought better of the idea. I was going to use Monogram's old Go-Bots "TransAm" kit as the pattern for the transformation, but update the mechanics to make it look more plausible. More likely there is a soldier out there who misses his Camaro.
I got other kits too that I could live without, but they're either missing components or are meant to be parts cows for later projects. Besides, I never know if I'll have a time when I really need to build something.
