An Act of Clapton
Dec. 1st, 2005 12:23 amTonight I watched the PBS program Great Performances with the reunion concerts of Cream. I love Eric Clapton. I had feared he would never pick up an electric guitar after he recorded "Tears In Heaven"...but this show was 100% "plugged" and he can still make that instrument do things nobody else on Earth can.
My only disappointment about the program was that I only knew the songs that are the Classic Rock Radio staples: "Badge", "Crossroads", "White Room" and their signature "Sunshine Of Your Love". The rest...I don't own any Cream records. The only Clapton I actually have is his solo stuff.
So the question is: Am I not a fan if I don't know all the songs by heart, or just anal if I do?
