R.I.P. NoName Computer
Aug. 17th, 2005 12:02 amHey.
It's official...my NoName computer, age 6, died in an attempt to boot up. Cause of death was determined to be a power surge that fried the hard drive and the motherboard. Lost in the tragic event was two years of data including countless e-mails, graphic files, bookmarks, and the latest in-progress chapter of "Chillin' Out". Which means I'll have to re-write the chapter from scratch and from memory. I'm too bummed at the moment to start the work.
For the rest of the lost data, I'm still in shock from their loss.
I'll start shopping for the new computer sometime this week. It'll probably be a custom job...I need too many special features to get it all from a pre-pack system. At least I know where to start. I doubt it's going to look like that wunderkludge in my preceding blog entry. :(
More to come.
