Almost There, But Not Quite
Apr. 5th, 2005 12:03 amHey.
I'm finally looking at being over this sickness. There's still crud in my sinuses and throat, but at least it's down enough that I can think about working again. Getting back to work is kinda important to me, even if I'm not getting paid at the moment.
I just learned a little while ago that John Z. DeLorean died a couple weeks back. While he wasn't exactly a hero to me, some of what he did at General Motors still has importance today. Part of me has to wonder what he could have accomplished if he had gotten into the field of computers rather than trying to create his own car company (which in my view was a bad move on his part). He was an engineer's engineer, so I'm hearing.
Current obsessions: German U-Boats and other submarines from World War Two, the new Ford Mustang (specifically, what auto race circuits are welcoming them into their fields), trying to decide what video I think I want to see next. I've got literally a pile of movies on VHS that I haven't seen yet and rarely have the freedom to watch. As an obsession it's got a low priority attached to it.
