No Tech Glitch Beats Stupidity
Hey.
I did something very stupid. I was going through the Control Panel on my computer, specificly the Add/Delete Programs section, as my Hard Drive is getting too full for comfort. So after I dispose of a bunch of programs that I can tell is/was spyware, I come upon a listing that starts "SiS" and has a number after it--and for me, it doesn't ring any bells. And so I delete it...
Turns out it was one of the main monitor display drivers. So now I'm reduced to VGA mode: 640x480 pixels and 16 colors. I don't know how to reinstall what I uninstalled...I've got a couple ideas, but they'll have to wait. Either way, this will not be a fun weekend for me. Don't expect another entry in this blog from me for a few days.
