There is a right kind of weirdness. I think John Lennon described it best when he talked about how it felt to meet Yoko Ono. Two cars coming from opposite directions on the road at high speed, suddenly stopping when the drivers see each other. That's about what usually happens for me. The weirdness kicks in.
